GSkI Team Meets with the Commissioner of Police

16th April 2025, GSKi team was able to rob minds with the Commissioner of Police Ekiti state CP Joseph Eribo during his Familiarization tour of Ado Area command.

The program had in attendance members of GSKi Nigeria staff, representative of the Ewi of Ado, high chief Adeyemi Oluwatoyi, president of Lion’s club Chief Olaide, PCRC members, House of community and Fulani members, NATAP members from Iworoko, NSCDC officials, NURTW members, and Okada union members, members of the press, and other community actors.

The Commissioner CP Joseph Eribo during his speech implored the community members to always give the police officers vital information rather than hoarding it because it can be used to curb criminalities. He added that, if you allow crime to fetter then you may likely become a victim of the same crimes. In addition, he said information’s given to them will be treated with utmost confidentiality that won’t put the informant into trouble. Lastly, he said every citizen has the power of arrest but not power of prosecution.

The country director GSKi Nigeria in his speech admonishes the police force to give the vulnerable children a voice and they should be protected since they have rights.

The program came to an end with the closing orayer by high chief Adeyemi Oluwatoyin.
