As part of GSKi’s activity, an interactive session with street-connected children and youths at risk was held on the 12th November, 2025 at Agric Olope, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State and Lafenwa, Abeokuta, Ogun State. The session was a safe and open space for children and youths to sit with GSKi staff and discuss various issues that affect their lives.

The interactive session provides a way for participants to express themselves, share their own experiences, and discuss any challenge they may be going through. It also helps the organization identify specific areas that need immediate action or intervention. So, GSKi can, respond quickly to urgent needs, develop strategies for supporting the children.

The children and youths discuss their daily lives around them, including how they survive through scavenging, their interaction on the streets, and the problems they encounter in their daily struggles to feed themselves. When a case requires assistance, the GSKi team takes care of the situation promptly so that assistance can be provided or referred to any other support services.

The Interactive Session provides learning and counseling opportunities while addressing immediate concerns. These topics include behavioral management, anger control, decision-making, and personal hygiene for a developmental mindset that will contribute to their emotional and social development. Those conversations teach the children how to guide themselves through positive behavior, self-discipline and resilience in overcoming the problems of their environment.

This action continues to reiterate GSKi’s commitment to providing hope, voice and compassion to street connected children and youths. It also serves to strengthen the working relationship between the organization and the beneficiaries.
