GSKi 2ND EDITION OF BACK TO SCHOOL PROGRAM 2025

Global Support for kids Initiative organized its2nd edition of “Back to school” program for 92 beneficiaries and full scholarships were awarded to Ogundana Samuel, Solomon Peace and Ariwodola Iyanuoluwa on September 7th and 24th, 2025 at Yewa South Local Government Secretariat, Ilaro, Ogun state and Agbajelola Hall in Ilawe, Ekiti, Ekiti state.

The “Back to school” program was aimed at supporting the children of the less privilege in 2 Local Government Areas of Ogun West (Yewa south and Yewa north) and Ekiti South West Local Government Areas comprising of (Ilawe, Igbara–odo and Ogotun). Relieve materials such as school Bags, Notebooks, Pen, Socks, school uniforms, and school sandals were distributed to the beneficiaries.

The President and Executive Director of GSKi Mr. Opeyemi Olowookere in his speech said Education is the cornerstone of development and we believe that every child deserves access to quality learning opportunities. Our program aims to bridge the gap for the less privileged, providing them with essential school materials and support. He appreciated the beneficiaries,and encouraged them to be steadfast in their academics.

The Zonal Educational Officer for Yewa South Local Government Area who represented the Hon. Commissioner for Education in Ogun state, Mrs. Otesile T.O. and Mrs. Oluwasola Ifedayo representing the wife of Ekiti state Governor highlighted the efforts of GSK Initiative in giving back to the society. They advised the beneficiaries to be of good conducts and also advised the parents/guardians to take proper care of their wards.

The Director Ministry of Women affairs and social development Mrs. Adalumo Taiwo and CSP Mustapha M. Musa representing the Commissioner of Police in their admonitions praised the President/Executive Director of GSKi for his persistence and resilience towards ensuring that the children attain greater heights in life.

In the same vein, Dr. P.O. Olowookere, Chief Gbenga Agbona the Elemo of Oke Emo, Sir Lawrence Egunjobi, Mrs Adeniye and Comrade Abdul Jabar Ayelaagbe advised the children to see this as an opportunity to move forward in life without hesitation.

The Parents, Guardians and the beneficiaries themselves appreciated the organization and prayed for the founder and the members of staff.
