Global Support for Kids Initiative (GSKi) commenced its annual GSKi Week on End to Violence against Children 2025 with the theme: “Drug Abuse: Together We Can Beat This Menace.”
As part of the activities, a public awareness campaign was held at Agric Olope Market, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, and Lafenwa Market, Lafenwa Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The campaign, which took place on August 21, a major market day, provided GSKi staff and volunteers the opportunity to engage a large number of people. The campaign was through one-on-one conversations, group discussions, and the distribution of handbills and different inscriptions on Cardboards.
Speaking during the campaign, the team emphasized the dangers of drug abuse and highlighted practical steps to prevent it. The exercise succeeded in increasing public awareness of the menace and reinforced GSKi’s commitment to protecting children and communities from its devastating effects.
