In commemoration of 2025 World Children’s day, 0n the 19th November, the Global Support for kids Initiative team sensitized over 1000 students and teachers of Saint Moses Nursery and Primary School, Ajimbadele, Off Ikere Road, Ado- Ekiti, Ekiti State and Premier Grammar School (SNR), Lafenwa, Abeokuta, Ogun State on the topic: Child Rights and Protection.
It has been observed that most children rights are being trampled on while some are denied of these rights the reason the initiative took this step to sensitize the students and teachers who would in turn sensitize others.

On the assembly ground, the materials provided by GSKi were shared to the students. The team discussed on the rights of a child, child abuse, the signs of an abused child, and types of abuses, what to do when abused and child protection and also cited various examples of abused children and perpetrators what happened to them on the long run.
The team urged the children to always speak out when something of such happens with a slogan “if you see something, you say something” also emergency contacts in the tracts were called out for them and he counseled the teachers and told them to “Teach and don’t hit a child” because it’s an abuse when a child is being hit. The Principal of the schools also buttressed what was said by the team and pleaded with the children to always speak up and stay safe.
